INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING COMPLETE MAINTENANCE FREE (CMF) BATTERY

  1. STORING

- Keep battery in cool and dry place.

- Do not remove the terminal caps.

- Check voltage of battery every month and maintain as Part 3.

  1. USING

- Remove the terminal caps.

- Clean and dry the battery terminals and connectors.

- Connect the (+) cable respectively to the battery positive (+) terminal first, then connect the (-) cable respectively to the battery negative (-) terminal.

- Grease the battery terminals.

- Check the voltage of vehicle generator: not greater than 14.4V.

Note: If battery is unused for a long time, battery must be fully charged every month (See 3 for charging).

  1. MAINTENANCE

- Remove the terminal caps.

- Use a rectified direct current (DC). Connecting the battery (+.-) terminals respectively to (+,-) poles of DC source.

- Charging current is about 1/10 of battery capacity.


For example: CMF 75D31L with capacity of 75Ah is charged with the current of 7.5 Amperes.

  1. SAFETY IN USING

- During charging, battery may produce explosive gases. Do not charge near flames, smoking or sparks.

- Check that all cable connectors to the terminals are properly tightened; connections that are too tight or too loose could result in post breakage, meltdown or fire.

- To avoid short circuits do not lay objects on top of battery.

- Charge battery in a well-ventilated area.

- Keep out of the reach of children.
